A typical day in the life of a RockWood Kitchens interior design consultant looks like…
- Warmly greeting new, potential clients and educating them on our products and services.

- Creating kitchen designs and quotes using our design software and accounting system.
- Working with other designers and team members to ensure an excellent customer experience from start to finish.

- Preparing outgoing material for shipment.
- Preparing the shipping dock for incoming shipment.
- Managing the reception, handling, distribution, and storage of designated freight, product, and supplies that come in and out of the warehouse.
- Accounting for all inventory of incoming shipping; reporting/documenting any missing or damaged products.
- Ensuring that shipments contain proper documentation before shipping out.
- Operating a Forklift or Electric Pallet Jack in a safe manner.
- May be required to assist with scheduling freight appointments.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

- Assembling cabinets to their specifications.
- Installing cabinet hardware such as hinges, drawer tracks, custom hardware, glass inserts, and cabinetry pulls.
- Inspecting products during and after the assembly process to ensure they’re up to our quality standards.
- Safely operating various hand and power tools that are required for assembly and repair of merchandise.
- Packaging product for shipment.
- Coordinating with shop management on daily and weekly assembly schedules.
- Ensuring projects are being completed efficiently and on time.
- Collaborating with coworkers to ensure quality and efficiency levels are kept.
- Monitoring inventory of supplies and requesting for replenishment when need be.
- Operating an Electric Pallet Jack in a safe manner to move the received product.

- Arriving promptly to the warehouse to start loading the client’s order into the delivery truck.
- Making deliveries with a company vehicle as assigned.
- Accounting for all inventory of delivery that day; reporting/documenting any missing or damaged products.
- Being courteous, respectful, and professional of the client’s property upon arrival, all the way through completion of delivery.
- Communicating any issues or concerns from clients to their designer or your immediate supervisor.
- Sometimes problem solving on site during delivery to fit all cabinets into one space.

- Maintaining a clean workspace, and tidiness of the clients home.
- Following safety procedures and protocols according to WSIB .
